Relief Justice Worker - Adult Community Residential Facilities
St. Leonard’s Community Services (SLCS) is here to support, advocate with, and empower individuals who are, or who are at risk of being, justice-involved. If you have just graduated or looking to start your career in the justice field, this role could be for you!
We are currently seeking Relief Justice Workers who are available to work flexible schedules in our four adult community residential facilities (CRF’s).
Our focus is on providing excellent client care by building rapport with our clients, making community connections and supporting our clients to reintegrate back into the community successfully. Your role would include advocating for and with our clients involved in the criminal justice system, assessing clients skills and needs as well as liaising with other services, including connections with probation and parole officers, community supports as well as internal teams and resources to assist with client reintegration. Included in the role is ensuring that we monitor the safety and security of our properties and assisting with administrative duties as required.
SLCS provides free on-site training sessions from qualified professionals, professional development funds, wellness and social committees as well as internal opportunities to move around the agency as part of this role!
This role has flexible scheduling requirements including days, evenings, weekends, some overnights and public holidays.
Required Qualifications
- University Degree or 2 – 3-year College Diploma or completing your education
- Standard First Aid/CPR – Level C
- Valid G class Driver’s License
- Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is an asset.
